Many studies have linked dieting with depression. Others say dieting and depression have no cause and effect relationship and just happen to be concurring. It is more convincing that there are some serious psychological effects from rigid dieting. Fad diets why are they bad is because they deplete nutrients from your body. The lack of omega 3 fatty acids found in fish are also linked to depression. Fad dieting lacks this nutrient and so does our western common diet. People do not eat enough fish, especially fresh fish. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what nutrients fad diets lack. The medical profession is quick to prescribe antidepressants and counseling for your depression cure. When you are depressed it is hard to get moving, but it is one of the best ingredients to finding your depression cure. There are so many ways to exercise, from walking to rock climbing. Find what is right for you and stick with an exercise program. Fad diets why are they bad is because, with the low caloric intake and lack of nutritional value, you will be too weak to exercise. Overall, it seems that a wall balanced diet and regular exercise may be the best for your depression cure.
