Dr. Christopher Henderson, N.D., L. Ac., announces the recent opening of his new Calistoga office at 2436 Foothill Blvd., Suite D.
Serving the community’s natural health care needs, he and other licensed staff will provide a wide range of naturopathic healthcare services, including clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, acupuncture and oriental medicine, and colon hydrotherapy.
“Naturopathic medicine combines ages old natural healing traditions and modern science to create a distinct system of health care,� said Dr. Henderson, Optimal Health Center director who earned his doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.
In addition to a degree in Naturopathic Medicine, he earned a Master of Science degree in acupuncture and has received Certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine from Bastyr University.
He is also director of the Optimal Health Center’s satelite office in Santa Rosa and has facilitated courses on oriental medicine at the Institute for Educational Technology in Cotati.
Other credits include work as a research biologist for Syntex Corporation in Palo Alto and regular appearances on KHSU’s “Naturopathic Question and Answer Series.�
Currently researching for a book on spa medicine, Dr. Henderson chose to open an office in Calistoga because of the therapeutic potential of hydrotherapy and other spa treatments.
