Paracetamol is one of the most commonly used drugs for a variety of illness and discomforts. In fact, the toxic dose of paracetamol is not much greater than the medical dose, so it is important to stick rigidly to allowances within the specified time period. Without effective treatment, an overdose of paractemol can irreparably damage the liver, and even result in liver failure, and even potentially death. It should be remembered at all times that whilst useful, paracetamol is also a very dangerous drug, and requires very little to reach overdose.
Paracetamol as a drug has been around for almost a hundred years, and it continues to this day to provide relief to minor aches and pains and flu like symptoms.
